Bruniquel
Dominated by the silhouette of its two imposing castles, the medieval city of Bruniquel, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, is a real architectural gem.
Suitable for strolling, this ancient stronghold, once prosperous thanks to the trade in hemp, flax and saffron, retains many testimonies of its rich past. Strolling through its cobbled streets full of charm is like immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the splendor of the Middle Ages, and it is discovering a number of stone houses from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, some of which are embellished with beautiful mullioned windows. Superb example of medieval civil architecture, the Payrol house, former home of the governors of Bruniquel, houses 13th century wall paintings, a Renaissance ceiling, as well as a museum exhibiting a collection of objects linked to local history . Once the visit is over, the walk continues towards the top of the village, where the two Bruniquel castles, which are the old castle from the 13th - 19th centuries, and the young castle from the 15th - 17th centuries, watch over them. Their visit will allow you to admire the tower of Queen Brunehaut, the room of the knights with twin windows, or the Renaissance-style gallery and its splendid panorama over the Aveyron valley. A permanent exhibition on Prehistory and on the film "Le Vieux Fusil" by Robert Enrico, which was partly shot in these places, as well as temporary exhibitions, complete the discovery of this site.
Each year, at the end of July-beginning of August, the lyric festival dedicated to Jacques Offenbach - the Festival des Châteaux de Bruniquel - constitutes the high point of the festive calendar of the city.
Puycelsi
Located on the border between Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne, between Albigeois and Quercy, the village of Puycelsi, classified among the most beautiful in France, is nicely nicknamed the "fortress of the woods". Perched on a promontory overlooking the forest of Grésigne, it is surrounded by more than 800 meters of ramparts behind which medieval charm immediately operates!

The Gorges of Aveyron
The gorges of the Aveyron, visible between Bruniquel and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, reserve for lovers of unspoiled landscapes a succession of high limestone cliffs dominating a wild and green nature. From the gorges road, several points of view on the rock faces and the river will be available to you.
